Latest publishing buzz, Facebook bought Push Pop Press. Facebook doesn’t plan on launching into the e-book publishing world. From my reading it sounds like they wanted the rights to the software to integrate into Facebook. This will be an interesting story to follow.

Just a reminder membership dues have to be paid by August 31,2011 to continue your membership. Dues are $40.00 per year, from August 1, – July 31. After August 31 you will be removed from the Yahoo members only group page and bio removed from the website.

Cookbook submissions for members and short story additions to the HWG Cookbook now due. Contact Jo. The cookbook sales are a fundraiser for Henderson Writers Group Student Writing Contest (details below). A scholarship and prize money awarded for the student winners. Contest open to middle grade thru college students. College entrants, student ID required if your story is accepted.
